Lakey Shepherd Mix Joliet, IL

Lakey, a black petite beauty (weighs 48lbs), is super loyal and sweet. This two year old angel loves belly rubs and is very energetic. She loves to run around outside. She has very good house manners, and is not much of a barker. Lakey does suffer from separation anxiety, and she chews/scratches things when she gets stressed. She does okay with other dogs in the neighborhood on walks but a meet and greet would be required. Lakey does not seem to get along with smaller animals, so we would recommend she does not go to a home with cats or similar animals. She can be a bit weary around visitors to a home and she takes a little bit longer to warm up to men. Lackey is currently 48lbs.

Lackey’s adoption fee is $300 which includes her spay, microchip implant, fecal exam, and shots up to date.

All dogs require a $100 training deposit. Once confirmation of the completion of a training class has been sent to the rescue, you will receive your deposit back in full.

As we are a rescue all of our adult dogs/puppies for adoption must be spayed or neutered. Although we make every attempt to have this done before finding their adoptive families, this is not always possible. Please speak with your adoption coordinator to see of this service has already been performed or they will explain to you if your new dog/puppy will need this service while in your care at no cost to you.

When emailing please include your phone number to help speed up the adoption process. Also, for the safety of our dogs we only adopt within a 2 hour radius of Joliet, Illinois to allow our volunteers to do home checks if necessary.
