Meet Lainey — A Little Girl Who Won the Hearts of Some Very Tough Soldiers<br/><br/>Sometimes, even in the toughest places, a little kindness changes everything.<br/><br/>Laine was found wandering near the Texas border by military personnel who were stationed in the area. Just a young girl, barely a year old and weighing only 39 pounds, she had no one looking out for her.<br/><br/>Or so she thought.<br/><br/>Because she managed to accomplish something pretty special. She stole the hearts of a group of soldiers who had much bigger things to worry about.<br/><br/>Despite everything, Lainey was nothing but sweetness. Friendly, gentle, and trusting, she greeted her new military friends like she’d been waiting for them her whole life.<br/><br/>And those soldiers weren’t about to leave their little girl behind.<br/><br/>Before leaving the area, they went above and beyond to make sure she had somewhere safe to go. They couldn’t give her a forever home themselves, but they made darn sure she would have a chance at finding one.<br/><br/>And now it’s our turn to finish what they started.<br/><br/>Lainey is a beautiful, approximately 1-year-old Lab mix with soulful brown eyes and a heart full of love. She had a slight limp which has healed and she's a sweet, friendly, and has all the makings of a wonderful family dog or devoted best friend.<br/><br/>She had soldiers fighting for her safety.
