Hi, Im Lainey a 1-year-old Standard Poodle weighing about 45 pounds, and I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas. When I first arrived in, I was pretty scared and unsure of everything around me. I would shy away at first, just trying to figure out if I was safe.<br/><br/>But it didnt take long for me to realize I was finally in a better place. After about 510 minutes, I started to relax, and now I absolutely light up when I see people coming my way. Ive really started to come out of my shell and enjoy attention, affection, and being around my humans. The kennel staff says Im a total sweetheart, and Im learning every day that people can be kind and safe.<br/><br/>I do amazing with other dogs and really enjoy their company. I also walk very well on a leash, like Ive been on walks before and already understand how nice it is to get out and explore the world a little bit. Ive got a wonderful personality just waiting to shine in the right home.<br/><br/>I havent been cat tested yet, but that can be done upon request.
