Whether it’s learning new skills, exploring on a long line adventure, or engaging in structured activities, Lainey shines brightest when her mind and body are fully engaged.<br/><br/>This is not a couch-potato kind of dog. Lainey is independent, confident, and full of drive. She forms bonds on her own terms and isn’t overly snuggly, but in the right environment, her playful and silly side really comes to life. She has an impressive internal clock, a love for routine, and a zest for life that makes her an exciting companion for the right person.<br/><br/>Lainey is looking for a very specific home where she can truly succeed:<br/> • Adult-only household<br/> • No other pets<br/> • Experienced handler, ideally someone familiar with herding breeds or reactivity<br/> • Active lifestyle with time for training, enrichment, and one-on-one interaction<br/> • Secure fenced yard (she’s athletic and determined, so taller fencing is best)<br/><br/>Neighborhood walks can be overwhelming for her, so a home where she can safely exercise and decompress without frequent exposure to triggers will set her up for success. She would excel in dog sports, working roles, or any environment where her intelligence and energy are put to good use.<br/><br/>Lainey is not a dog to be left alone or crated for long stretches.
