Laime is so beautiful and has so many good qualities it just makes her story so much harder to understand. We are told Laime is her original name because people from her neighborhood remember hearing it. Laime has shown us she knows many basic obedience commands including sit, down, stay, off, come etc. And we have learned she is very playful, loving to retrieve and toss a ball with people and she is not above enjoying a really good back massage. Laime looks like a Rottweiler but is smaller than most and she is generally calm and mellow. During training sessions she walks nicely on leash and she pays attention and makes great eye contact with the handlers. In fact everything we know about Laime suggests she will be a great addition to virtually any loving and responsible home. And there lies the mystery because this truly beautiful dog was found starving and abandoned in an unoccupied apartment. Who could do that to a beloved pet and how can Laime still be so loving and trusting?
