Laila (Portland, OR)'s Story

Meet Laila (pronounced “Lye-luh”), a 1.5-year-old Cattle Dog looking for an active forever home! Don't let her small size fool you; this spunky girl is always ready to play tug or fetch, go on long walks, or settle on the couch for some belly rubs and cuddles. Since she's still young, she can be a bit nippy and pushy, but she is working hard with her foster family to manage this.

Laila is very treat-motivated, knows many commands, and is eager to learn new tricks. Laila may need slow introductions when meeting other dogs, but given time, she becomes their playful best friend! She is crate trained and does well in the car.

Laila loves every teen and adult she has met. She's working on her greeting manners, she tends to get excited and can jump, and has already made great strides in the amount of time she has been with us. Laila hasn't met many cats, and she hasn't shown much interest in the ones she has. She hasn't had much interaction with children.

If you are looking for an adventure companion, then Laila is your girl!

Laila is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her core vaccines. She is being fostered in Portland, Oregon.

Adoption Process:

Adoption Application
Phone Conversation
Meet & Greet
Home Visit
Application Approval
Adoption Fee & Contract ($450)
Our adoption application is available at pnwcdr.org/adopt.
