Laika

Laika is a 6 year old petite little lady weighing only around 35 lbs, and is currently working hard on learning how to trust and open up.<br/><br/>When Laika first arrived, she was very shy, thin, and unsure of everything around her. She would make herself as small as possible in her kennel and tried her best to disappear into the background.<br/><br/>Once she spent some time hanging out in our front office with Hushpuppy Hank, though, we started seeing a completely different side of her. With a little patience and comfort, Laika warmed up quickly and showed us how sweet she really is. She loves to cuddle and enjoys interacting with other dogs. She has also been doing great dealing with puppy shenanigans. Laika recently left for a foster home and is thriving with the other dogs in the home, including two crazy puppies. She seems perfectly content playing with them and even letting them use her as their life-size chew toy.
