Hi everyone, I'm Laika, a gorgeous young American Staffordshire Terrier with a big heart! I can be shy when we first meet, but with a little time and patience, I'll come out of my shell and show you what a sweet, loving girl I really am. Once I trust you, I absolutely love being around my people!<br/><br/>When it comes to other dogs, I can get a little overwhelmed and may be reactive if they're too close. Everyone is still learning what makes me most comfortable, so I might do best as your one-and-only pup, or with very slow introductions if you already have another dog.<br/><br/>I'm not a fan of crates, but I can be contained in an open area if necessary. Maybe there's a room in your house where I can stay and decompress? I have shown no signs of being destructive just need a little breathing room. <br/><br/>I'm still working on my potty-training. Shelter life can make it hard to keep good routines, but I'm doing my best and getting better every day.
