Ladybug (Tripod Pup)'s Story
Meet Ladybug — a tiny survivor with the biggest heart.

Ladybug’s story begins in heartbreak. At just three months old, she was found chained to a front porch, alone and terrified, with one of her front legs snapped in half. The world had not been kind to her, and she had every reason to be afraid. Despite efforts to save her leg, it ultimately had to be amputated—but that was the beginning of her second chance, not the end of her story.
Today, Ladybug is a resilient, three-legged warrior who is slowly learning that love can be safe.
Because of her past, Ladybug needs time, patience, and understanding. New people can be overwhelming for her, so slow, gentle introductions are a must. She may be shy and cautious at first—but once she decides you’re hers, everything changes. Ladybug forms deep, powerful bonds with her person. When she trusts you, she will love you with her whole being—loyal, devoted, and always by your side.
Ladybug will do best as the only dog in the home, where she can feel secure and not have to compete for attention or space. She needs a calm, predictable environment where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace.
Her ideal home is with an experienced dog owner—someone who understands fear, healing, and the slow process of building trust. Someone patient. Someone steady. Someone who sees her not as “broken,” but as brave. A person who has experience with trauma or PTSD may especially connect with Ladybug, as she responds deeply to calm, grounded energy and consistent reassurance.
Ladybug may only have three legs, but she doesn’t let that stop her. She plays, she explores, and she keeps moving forward—just like she always has.
She is not a dog for everyone. But for the right person, Ladybug will be everything.
If you’re willing to go slow, to earn her trust, and to love her for exactly who she is, Ladybug will give you a kind of love that is rare, raw, and incredibly special.
Now, this playful, resilient girl is searching for her forever home!

Ladybug is:
Spayed female
40lbs
Potty & crate trained
Kid friendly with kids over 12 years old
UTD on vaccines
Microchipped
Heartworm negative
Full of love, energy, and snuggles

She is currently being fostered outside of Raleigh, NC but transportation can be arranged for approved adopters to all surrounding states.

She’s the perfect mix of brave and bouncy, and she deserves a future as bright as her spirit.

To apply to adopt Ladybug: form.jotform.com/232476059126155
