Ladybug's Story

Hi there... I'm Ladybug!

I'm a 10-year-old Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshund / Pembroke Welsh Corgi mix with a whole lot of love packed into my 50-pound body. Yes, I'm low to the ground and sturdy - built for cuddles and companionship!

I've lived with cats, kids, and other dogs, and I'm friendly and relaxed around all of them. I'm not the dramatic type. I like peace, routine, and being part of the family. I spend most of my time inside where I run free, but I'm comfortable in a crate if needed. I've enjoyed fenced yard time and even being outside on a tether in the past. I'm adaptable - I just want to be near my people.

I'm house trained (very proud of that), walk beautifully on a loose leash, and ride nicely in the car - I just need a little boost getting in. Short legs, you know! Once I'm settled, I'm calm and content.

At home, I sleep in the bedroom because I like knowing my humans are close. I'm affectionate, playful when the mood strikes, and overall pretty chill. I enjoy a good stroll, a soft bed, and quality time with my people.

The hardest part of my story is that my human is getting older and is at risk of falling. They love me dearly, but they want to make sure I'm safe and cared for long term. So now I'm looking for my true forever home - one where I can bring my steady love, gentle nature, and sweet companionship.

If you're looking for a loyal little shadow with a big heart, I might just be your Ladybug.
