She was rescued as a tiny puppy from a large litter, and has grown into a gentle, quirky companion with a heart full of loyalty. Unfortunately, due to life changes, her current guardian is heartbroken to share that Lady needs a new home.<br/>Lady is a unique girl with a very tender spirit. She’s always been on the timid side and tends to be cautious with new people and situations. She needs a calm, patient adopter who understands sensitive dogs and will give her time to adjust and feel safe. Once she trusts you, her quiet devotion shines through.<br/><br/>Personality & Needs:<br/>Timid and reserved: Slow to warm up, but loyal and loving once she bonds.<br/>Best as an only dog or with another calm dog: Too much activity or stimulation overwhelms her.<br/><br/>Prefers calm households: She’s done okay with a young child in her current home, but would thrive best in an adult-only or low-chaos environment.<br/><br/>Sensitive to overstimulation: As part Catahoula, she may try to "herd" when overstimulated, occasionally with a gentle nip (never bitten).<br/><br/>House-trained and well-mannered indoors.<br/>Lady would love a quiet backyard where she can sniff around and enjoy the sunshine. She doesn’t need a ton of activity — just gentle walks, a consistent routine, and someone who sees her for the beautifully quirky dog she is.<br/><br/>A Note from Her Guardian:<br/>“Lady is a very special dog. She's been my companion through a lot, and this decision has been incredibly difficult. I just want to see her in a home where she’s understood, loved, and given the time and space she needs. I’m even open to taking her back in a year or two if my situation changes and I have the right home for her.”<br/><br/>Transport Available:<br/>Lady is currently in Utah but her guardian is willing to drive her back to California to ensure she lands in a safe and loving home.<br/>If you or someone you know can provide Lady the understanding and love she deserves, please reach out.
