Lady's Story

Meet Lady!

Lady is a big, gorgeous 7-year-old Saint Bernard looking for a quiet forever home where she can relax and enjoy life with her people.

Lady is a sweet girl who enjoys attention, especially being brushed, rubbed, and having some cuddle time. She isn’t the type who wants to be attached to you all day, though. When she’s had enough, she’ll simply get up and walk away. She has a funny little independent streak and knows what she likes!

She is friendly and does well with people, but she sometimes prefers to approach new people on her own terms. A patient family who understands that every dog has their own comfort level will be a great fit for her.

Lady does well with other dogs but isn’t particularly interested in playing for long. She may play for a few minutes and then be ready to move on. Because she can become reactive when on walks and small dogs bark repeatedly, so a home without small dogs would likely be best. She may also be very happy as the only dog. Lady would do best in a quiet home without young children, and someone with Saint Bernard experience would be wonderful.

If you know Saints, you already know about the drool and shedding! Lady is an impressive drooler with those famous spaghetti-length strings, and she sheds even with regular brushing.

Lady loves her walks and gets so excited when she sees her leash that she’ll carry it right to the door. She’s also great in the car. Her walks need to be kept shorter because she is an older girl and her legs can get tired. She is currently taking Dasuquin. Her ears also need regular cleaning because they can develop buildup quickly.

Lady is a beautiful, special girl who deserves a family that will appreciate her personality, respect her needs, and love her exactly as she is. At 7 years old, she still has plenty of love to share—and she’s ready to find the people who will give her the peaceful, happy home she deserves. She is fully vetted, including dental. Puppy Mill Rescue Team 's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION POLICIES The Puppy Mill Rescue Team’s dogs are placed into adoptive homes within 60 miles of the foster home. We have foster homes in Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY, and Macedonia, OH. When applying for a specific dog please check the profile to see where the dog is located. If you are not in this area and are looking to adopt, we recommend that you visit our Rescue Partners area or Petfinder.com to locate a rescue in your area. A legally binding Adoption Agreement must be signed at the time a dog is placed. The adoption donation varies and is included in the dog’s description on the website as well as in the Adoption Agreement. Adoption donations are not negotiable and payment must be made in full prior to or at the time of the placement of the dog. Please read prior to submission of an application for adoption. All potential homes must complete our adoption process which includes an application, meet and greet, home inspection and veterinary reference. Applicants must provide veterinary references if they have previously owned a pet and contact veterinary facilities to authorize release of their records to a PMRT representative upon request. Applicants who rent their homes must verify that they are permitted to have a dog and provide a landlord contact number on the adoption application. Landlords will be contacted in every case, no exception. The primary adopter must be at least 21 years old. We are solely committed to the dogs accepted into the rescue. We want to find them loving, permanent homes and go to great lengths to place the right dog into the right family. We reserve the right to decline any adoption based on what we feel is in the best interest of the dog.
