Lady's Story

Lady came to the shelter scared, thin and covered in ticks. She seems to have had a "ruff" life but that didn't break her spirit! She is such a friendly and gentle soul. She will greet you at the door every day with her special smile and ask for belly rubs (her favorite thing in the world). She would be a real blessing to a special family, and a special family sure would be a blessing for her. She is good with other dogs and children. She is approximately 4 years old and 50 pounds.

Meigs County Dog Shelter's Adoption Policy
We want to make sure our adoptions are a forever home for the canines. The application for adoption is done in person, after spending time with the dog. Upon adoption, age appropriate, spay and neuter is a requirement with our local vet. Our staff is also available to help with questions and follow up after adoption. We want the adoption experience to be a positive one for both adopter and canine.
