Lacy *LOCAL*'s Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Age: 3-4 Years
Weight: 51 lbs

Location: RI

This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

This beautiful lady is Lacy!
Lacy appears to be a Labrador Retriever mix about 3 or 4 years old, and she's perfect! She's house trained, crate trained, good in the car and walks on a leash. She's good with other dogs and kids - she's been with kids ages three and up. She hasn't been introduced to kitty cats yet so we don't know what she thinks of them. She doesn't require crazy amounts of exercise nor does she necessarily require a fenced yard, but she does like a good run now and again, and will need daily walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys and games. She's learning all about the game of fetch and about toys - it would appear she's never had any before! She's obedient and playful, affectionate, eager to please, smart, even-tempered and gentle. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes, not only because you get to learn commands together and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, but because it helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and her human family. And it’s lots of fun! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take her. Lacy and her four 4-5 week old puppies were found in a trap in Texas and taken to a shelter. After only a few days, her pups died from a severe hookworm and roundworm infestation. After being dewormed herself, Lacy quickly perked up and continues to do great. She's looking forward to finding her forever home and the love that she can only imagine she'll find there. She would love to go wherever you go and take part in whatever adventure is next on your list! If Lacy sounds like the perfect pup for your family, fill out an application today! She's waiting just for you!

Adoption Fee: $425

To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
