Lacy's Story

Meet Lacy! She recently came into our rescue after being abandoned by her previous owner at a boarding facility. They dropped her off for a “quick trip” and simply never came back for her. For the last year, Lacy lived in that boarding facility—fed, cared for, and given necessary medical attention, but without the comfort of being part of a loving family.

Now, she’s getting her second chance.

Lacy is incredibly sweet, though understandably a little timid as she adjusts to life in a home again. After spending so long without the stability of a family, she’ll need time, patience, and understanding while she learns how to feel safe and loved. She’s had a few accidents, but she’s remembering how this whole “living in a house” thing works and is making progress every day. She is crate trained and knows a handful of basic commands, which is a great foundation for continued success.

She does well with other dogs and would truly benefit from having a confident canine companion in her forever home to help show her the ropes and build her confidence. She has also been good with kids! The only one she’s not too sure about is the big, mean kitty in her foster home—who she finds a little intimidating.

Lacy deserves a soft place to land, a family to call her own, and all the love she’s missed out on. Could that be with you?
