Lacey (NKA Lucy)- COME MEET ME!'s Story
Lacey will be at open House on Modnay, January 12, 3-5 pm. Open House is at 106 Adams St, Medfield, MA.
All are welcome at Open House, but priority is given to approved applicants.

Lacey (NKA Lucy) is an 8 month old chessie mix, who weighs 45 pounds.

Lacey is one of 4 puppies that were surrendered to rescue when their family could no longer care for the puppies or their parents. Lacey was the smallest one in the litter.

Lacey is sweet, smart, affectionate, forms strong bonds, and she’s made great strides in her basic obedience. She has completed a puppy class through Petsmart, and knows several commands: sit, down, stay, leave it, easy, touch, come (responds better to whistle or kiss noises), middle (to sit between your legs), and paw.

Lacey plays nicely with other dogs in the dog park, She is housebroken and will whine or ring the bells to let you know she needs to go out. She .and walks nicely on a leash. Lacey is not comfortable in a closed crate, but does very well being left at home for several hours and just sleeps. Her tummy is sensitive to chicken flavored kibble, but she does fine with beef favored kibble.

Lacey can be fearful of new things, and would do best in a home with an experienced owner, with structure, leadership and routine. Ideally a home with a fenced yard. No city or apartment living for this girl! She briefly lived in a home with a old dog, but was too much for the old dog. We think she would do best as an only dog.

Adoption Fee: $500
Adoption Coordinator: Vera

Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area.

If you wish to adopt our dogs, please complete an online APPLICATION. You must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.

All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered.
Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee.
Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements.

Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs.
Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors.
Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up.

Also, please note our open houses which occur most every week at foreverhomerescue.org. You can see when we are open and also which dogs will be at each open house. Dogs marked 'out of town' will not usually be at open houses until they are local.
