Do you want a best friend who will melt your heart with her beautiful smile and longing eyes, look at you like you’re the most important person in the world, cover you with doggie kisses, and love you with every fiber in her being? Lacey is your girl! <br/><br/>This active, funny, playful girl wants to be wherever you are… walks, hanging in the yard, sitting by your feet as you work. She loves her toys and tennis balls and will enthusiastically retrieve them as long as you’d like to toss them! Lacey has wonderful house manners. No jumping on guests, no counter surfing, no accidents, and doesn’t chew anything except her dog toys. She sleeps through the night in or near her large kennel (although if you want a bedtime snuggle buddy, she would totally be up for that!). Lacey hasn’t been a big barker, although she will alert if someone is at your door (when you tell her things are OK, she can redirect). She will mostly groan or squeak to communicate, especially if she wants scritches or zoomie fetch time. <br/><br/>She enjoys meeting new people, warmly asking for belly rubs, play and pets - and be prepared for strangers telling you how beautiful she is! Lacey has the most gorgeous long coat and the BEST smile - it lights up her entire face and is so contagious.<br/><br/> Lacey learned basic obedience in a flash, has strong recall, is treat and praise motivated, and will understand your house rules with a little gentle reinforcement. She settles in her kennel with a lick mat or puzzle toy. Lacey has done really well playing with other dogs while supervised, but she wants to be in a home where she can be the only dog. She is very friendly with the neighborhood feral cat as well. We don't know how she does with indoor cats, but we think she would like them! After being abandoned, Lacey is looking for a forever family to give her the kindness, patience and affection she deserves. She so wants to love and be loved in a steady home where her people recognize the special gift she is and include her in their activities. Is that you? Get ready for the love of your life!<br/><br/>Lacey is estimated to be 2 years old and 52 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention.
