Lacey's Story

Lacey was found as a stray in rural south Texas, and a kind person picked her up. She asked us for help to find Lacey a home and offered to foster. Lacey has been in our program since the first week of March, and she has completed her veterinary care. Now she’s ready to find her forever person!

Lacey is dog friendly and gets along well with every dog we’ve introduced her to. She loves kids, and has been around kids as young as 10. We think she would do well with younger children, as well.

Lacey is house trained and crate trained. She is potty trained at her foster home; however, please note that puppies don’t generalize potty training well from one house to another. Like all puppies, she will need to learn your house and where the dog door is or if there’s a specific door you want her to signal at to go outside.

Lacey is fostered in a rural area, and she hasn’t had experience with the hustle and bustle and noises of an urban environment. Because of this, we think her ideal home would be in a quiet suburban neighborhood or on a rural property vs. city center living. Her fosters have taught her how to walk on a leash, and she is doing great. She enjoys exploring with her people or playing in the yard, but equally loves just hanging out and relaxing. She isn’t a high energy girl, and makes a good couch companion.

Lacey’s estimated birthday is 11/13/2025, making her 6 months old. She weighs 42 pounds. We think she’s a Lab mix. She is spayed, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. She is also microchipped, heartworm negative and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Lacey can arrive in Orem, UT on June 5.
