She loves company and truly shines when friends are over, happily soaking in the social energy while remaining gentle and well-mannered.<br/> <br/>She’s a smart, eager-to-please girl who responds beautifully to gentle guidance and enjoys enrichment games, especially scavenger hunts for treats, where she’ll look to you for clues (she understands a finger point to the hiding spot) and loves a team celebration of snuggles once she finds all the treats- little cheddar shreds are her favorite! She enjoys a few minutes of tug-o-war with long plushies, but is happy to move on to sniffy explorations.<br/> <br/>On walks, Lacy prefers quiet streets and woodsy trails where she can take her time enjoying slow, thoughtful sniff walks. Loud, close traffic isn’t her favorite, give her a peaceful path and she’s right at home.<br/> <br/>Lacy does not enjoy crate time. Because she forms strong, loving bonds with her people, she’ll need a bit time acclimating to being home alone, but once she feels safe and assured that you are coming back, she settles into naps or comfy relaxation time on the couch.<br/> <br/>Affection Level: Expert<br/>Lacy is a true snuggle professional. She adores belly rubs, ear scratches, paw massages, and quiet moments curled up with her favorite humans. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.<br/>• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.<br/>• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.<br/>• We do request vet and personal references.<br/>• We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
