**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.<br/><br/>Lacey is a pretty little 2.5 year old, 50 pound lab mix. She has been through a lot but is always happy and walks with a spring in her step. She loves meeting new people and convincing them to scratch her ears. She lacks initial socialization skills with other dogs so it is best for her to meet new friends in an open space like a yard or park. Once she realizes she has a new friend, the chase and toy tugging games begin!<br/><br/>She learns commands very quickly. She knows the word treat and is always happy to sit and shake your hand in exchange for one. She loves toys–maybe a little too much–so she must be monitored to be sure she doesn’t dismantle and eat them. <br/><br/>She has learned to enjoy car rides since they always lead to a hike or other adventure. Her recall is very good and her leash training is improving. Lacey would be good in a home alone or with a companion pup. She is looking for her forever human and can’t wait to settle into a life of loving and being loved!<br/><br/>Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
