Lacey's Story

Meet Lacey – A Little Dog with a Big Personality

Lacey is a 4-year-old, 12-pound Yorkie mix who was found as a stray in Detroit and sadly was never reclaimed. While her past remains a mystery, one thing is certain—this little girl hasn't let it dampen her joyful spirit. Lacey is a sweet, happy pup who is full of life and ready to find the loving family she deserves.

Lacey is incredibly social and enjoys being around people and other dogs. She's playful, energetic, and always ready for the next adventure. Whether she's romping around in the yard or heading out for a walk, Lacey loves to stay active and explore the world around her.

She does well with other dogs and tends to ignore cats. Because of her enthusiasm and energy, Lacey would do best with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to interact respectfully with a small dog.

Lacey is crate trained and has demonstrated a good understanding of house manners in her foster home. Like many Yorkie mixes, she will require regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and looking its best.

A fenced yard would be a great fit for Lacey, as she enjoys running and playing outdoors. She is not a good candidate for a tether system and thrives when she has space to safely move around and burn off some of her puppy-like energy. Lacey can also be a bit vocal at times, so she would likely not be the best match for apartment living.

This lively little girl is looking for an active family who can keep up with her fun-loving personality and give her the love and commitment she deserves for the rest of her life.

If you're looking for a cheerful companion with a playful spirit, Lacey may be the perfect addition to your family. She's ready to find her furever home!

Lacey is:
Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies
Dewormed
Heartworm Tested: Negative
Receiving Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Microchipped
Spayed

ADOPTION FEE: $375

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal's temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
