A virtual home visit, along with personal and veterinary reference checks, are required to complete the adoption process. This helps ensure we respect everyone’s time.<br/><br/>___<br/><br/>Kyzer is a tiny puppy with a big, playful spark and a knack for keeping himself entertained. At around 9 weeks old, this little Chihuahua mix is already showing off his spunky personality and surprisingly agile moves, especially when there’s a toy involved. He came into rescue as part of an owner surrender with his mom (11 lbs and we've included a pic of her as well), and we suspect dad is similar in size. Kyzer is expected to stay on the smaller side once fully grown.<br/><br/>Kyzer is being fostered in Austin, Texas and is available for adoption out of state. Transport can be arranged by the rescue once matched with an approved adopter. The adoption process includes an application, phone interview, video call with the foster home, virtual home visit, and vet and personal reference checks.<br/><br/>Right now, Kyzer is all about exploring, playing, and figuring out how the world works. He’s a happy, energetic little puppy who tends to jump right into things, especially if there’s a toy nearby. He already loves toys and will happily entertain himself tossing them around, chasing them, and making his own fun. He’s curious, quick on his feet, and always looking for the next thing to engage with.<br/><br/>He’s doing well with other dogs and benefits from being around friendly, confident pups. His playful nature makes it easy for him to join in, and he would likely enjoy having a canine companion to match his energy and help him continue learning.<br/><br/>Like all puppies his age, Kyzer just needs a little patience, structure, and consistency as he learns the basics. He’s still working on house training and crate training and will need a family ready to guide him through that process. Because he’s so young, he’ll do best in a home where someone is around more often than not to support his development and give him the attention he needs to thrive.<br/><br/>Kyzer hasn’t been around cats or young children yet, but would likely do well in a home with respectful, well-mannered kids who understand how to interact with a small puppy.
