Hello, my name is Kyle (AKA Kai).<br/>I am up for adoption!<br/>You may remember when Kyle was turned into the shelter as a stray.<br/>When Kyle arrived, he was immediately taken to the Animal Hospital of DuBois for care (thank you for all of your help).<br/>They assessed him as a body score of 1/5 (not good). He smelled of urine and feces. He had urine stains on his fur. Feces on legs and body. His toenails were overgrown.<br/>Severe emaciation, ribs shown, spine and scapula and tendons were easily visualized.<br/>He was confined without adequate nutrition. If he was not confined and just running loose, he would not have had urine stains on his fur and be covered in feces. <br/>His weight when he was found was 26lbs. He now weighs a healthy 64lbs.<br/>Kyle has lots of energy. He is a playful boy. Kyle does need some training. We recommend a home with no small children. Kyle needs a home where someone can exercise him and keep up with his energy. He is estimated to be around 2 years old.<br/>If you would like to meet Kyle, please stop by Gateway Humane Society during open hours (Monday and Wednesday 4pm-7pm) and (Tuesday and Saturday noon-4pm).
