Meet Kya! <br/><br/>Kya first joined our program in late 2024 as part of a large transport of lucky dogs who made the journey from Oklahoma to Oregon in search of brighter futures. She was quickly adopted into a loving home, but as life became busier, it became clear that Kya would thrive best in a home better matched to her playful personality, energy level, and social needs. Her adopter made the incredibly loving and selfless decision to help her find that perfect fit-and now this sweet girl is ready for her next chapter.<br/><br/>Kya is an adorable smaller-medium sized girl with a gentle heart, playful spirit, and so much love to give. She has been blossoming more every single day in foster care and it's been incredibly rewarding to watch her confidence continue to grow. One of Kya's favorite things in the world is spending time with her dog friends. She loves running, playing, exploring the yard, and wrestling around with her canine buddies throughout the day. Because of how much comfort and joy she gets from other dogs, we strongly feel she'll do best in a home with another well-matched playful dog companion who can continue helping her build confidence and keep her socially fulfilled. Kya is now potty trained and continues making wonderful progress with routine, structure, and consistency. She's a smart girl who truly wants to bond with her people and be part of the family. She especially gravitates toward women and tends to feel most comfortable with calm, patient people who allow her a little time to settle in and trust. Because of her playful energy and sensitivity, we think she'd do best either in a home without children or with older, calmer, dog-savvy kids who can respect her space and boundaries. Kya is an active girl who would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, an active lifestyle, and people who will continue helping her channel her energy in positive ways through play, adventures, enrichment, and companionship.
