Kuro's Story

Meet Kuro.

Kuro is a handsome 2-year-old Black Lab mix weighing in at about 100 pounds. This big, lovable boy has all the wonderful qualities Labs are known for—he's friendly, playful, affectionate, and full of energy.

Kuro gets along well with children and enjoys the company of other dogs. However, he is not a good fit for a home with cats. He is house-trained and partially crate-trained, giving him a great foundation as he transitions into his forever home.

Like many young dogs, Kuro is still learning. He is not yet leash-trained and will benefit from basic training and continued guidance to help him become the best companion he can be. With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, Kuro has all the potential to thrive in a family setting.

His sleek black coat is accented by just a tiny touch of white on his paws, making him as striking as he is sweet. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will be your adventure partner and best friend, Kuro may be the perfect match.

To apply, go to www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application (use laptop or computer). If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG!

U.S. shelter and adoption estimates 2012

3,500—Number of animal shelters •

6-8 million—Number of cats and dogs entering shelters each year

25 percent—Percentage of purebred dogs in shelters •

3-4 million—Number cats and dogs adopted from shelters each year

2.7 million—Number of adoptable cats and dogs euthanized in shelters each year

25% of dogs in shelters are pure bred - that's 1 in 4!
