Kubo's Story

Caution: Kubo is highly addictive and has been known to cause spontaneous baby talk and excessive cuddling!

At around 9 years old, Kubo is a goofy little ham with a heart of gold and a serious talent for snuggling. PAWS staff go ga-ga whenever Kubo is onsite - we're always ready for our Kubo-fix! He's eager to meet new people, loves soaking up attention, and is always down to curl up beside you for cuddles. Whether he's making you laugh with his silly personality or quietly leaning in for affection, Kubo has a way of making himself impossible not to love.

Kubo has been through quite a lot since arriving at PAWS. Originally brought to the city shelter after being found as a stray with very limited history, he's spent time in several foster homes while we learned more about both his medical and behavioral needs. He has multiple medical conditions, including a heart defect, allergies, and spinal issues that can cause discomfort at times. Because of this, he can be sensitive with certain handling, so his future family should be patient, gentle, and mindful of his body language to help keep him feeling safe and comfortable.

Despite everything he's been through, Kubo continues to show us what a loving, resilient little dog he is. He's lived with other small dogs in foster care and has done well after slow, thoughtful introductions. Most of all, Kubo is looking for what he's been missing all along: a stable, loving home where he can finally relax, feel safe, and be absolutely spoiled with the affection he deserves.

If you're looking for a loyal cuddle buddy with plenty of personality and even more love to give, Kubo may just be your perfect match - Apply to adopt and if you have any adoption questions, please email adoptions@phillypaws.org

------------------------------------

This dog is considered a mixed breed because it's not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.

------------------------------------

This dog is currently located in a PAWS foster home. In order to meet with any dogs in foster care, you will need to have a fully processed and approved application first. To get the adoption process started, please complete the adoption application at phillypaws.org/dogapp.

If you have any questions, feel free to email adoptions@phillypaws.org or call 215-298-9680 ext. 16.

Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society, 2900 Grays Ferry Ave, Phila, PA 19146 (by appointment only).
