Hard living.<br/>So many of our dogs come in with signs of a hard life. Kruger had some broken teeth, irritated skin, and is underweight. We want better for him and all the other dogs. We are starting with lots of love and regular meals. The sounds he makes from enjoyment of treats is music to our ears. Kruger is happy to make new friends and is tolerant of our holiday costumes. That gets him on the good boy list forever.<br/><br/>Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.<br/><br/>All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.<br/><br/>All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).<br/><br/>We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s).
