Kristoff

Kristoff is another one of the dogs who came to us from the heartbreaking neglect situation involving multiple dogs being kept outside in cages. They had little to no food, were covered in fleas and ticks, and were drinking from mud puddles. A game warden discovered the dogs and reached out to us for help.<br/><br/>Despite everything he has been through, Kristoff is the goofball of the group! This silly boy has a fun personality and has quickly figured out that his new life includes attention, treats, playtime, and people who care about him. He has a way of making us laugh and reminds us just how resilient dogs can be.<br/><br/>Kristoff is learning what life is supposed to be like. Instead of worrying about where his next meal is coming from, he can focus on being a dog—playing, exploring, getting attention, and showing us more of his personality every day.<br/><br/>We also have some great news for Kristoff: he tested negative for heartworms! Several of the dogs from this group are facing months of heartworm treatment, so we are very thankful that Kristoff is one of the lucky ones who does not have to go through it.<br/><br/>We aren't exactly sure what breed Kristoff and the rest of the group are. Because of their history of originally coming from North Carolina, our best guess is that they may be Mountain Cur mixes.<br/><br/>Kristoff's beginning wasn't the life any dog deserves, but he certainly isn't letting his past take away his goofy spirit. Now he just needs a family who will laugh at his antics, spoil him a little, and show him how much fun being a loved family dog can be.
