Krista was living in an outside kennel when Animal Control was called in to take all the animals from the property. Krista was in with another Keeshond girl, they are not friends. Yet she adores playing with a Keeshond/Shepherd mix, and a six month old Keeshond puppy! She's choosy when it comes to her doggie companions. New people are scary at first, though give her time and be patient and then she will love you. She is needy, and wants attention desperately; she came from a home where she was severely neglected.<br/><br/> Krista does have some OCD behaviors that really don't interfere with her function or quality of life; she paces and/or does circles when frustrated or excited.<br/><br/>Krista is struggling with potty training, she is now potty pad trained! She is terrified of being left outside, so going potty outside is still scary. She will learn, though the process will take longer than usual; this is also due to her severe neglect & abuse.<br/><br/>The cutest about Krista is her smile; some Keeshonden (the plural of Keeshond), will pull back their lips and show their teeth which is how they earned their nickname, the Smiling Dutchman.<br/><br/>Krista is sweet, loving gorgeous little 5 year old Keeshond girl who needs an experienced dogs person/family, and preferably previous Keeshond folks. <br/><br/>Older kids who are comfortable around dogs should be okay, while young kids are not. She is playful and could get along with cats with time and training; her first reaction would be to chase.
