Kris

Kris came to FLUFF in early December from the Florida/Georgia line after spending her life as a stray. She and several other dogs were cared for by a kind Good Samaritan who made sure they had food, water, and what shelter he could provide. When he sadly passed away, a group of compassionate people stepped in to ensure these pups were safe and ultimately placed with rescues where they could have a chance at forever homes.<br/><br/>Until coming to FLUFF, Kris had likely never been handled, and the comforts of a domesticated life are still new and sometimes scary for her. With time and patience in her foster home, she has begun to blossom. She absolutely adores her furry siblings, has discovered that soft couches and cozy beds are actually pretty wonderful, and is learning that sitting quietly near her humans can be a nice thing, too.<br/><br/>Kris is still unsure about leashes and too much petting or affection, and that's okay—she's learning at her own pace. She will need a calm, patient home with another confident, friendly dog to help guide her and show her the ropes. Her ideal human understands that trust takes time and is happy to let Kris simply be part of the family from a distance at first, with no pressure or expectations.<br/><br/>Kris may never be a fully “typical” dog—and that's perfectly okay.
