Kraken is a high-energy, toy-loving, zoomie-powered force of nature who believes every day should include at least one epic play session. His favorite hobbies include flinging toys around like sea monsters flinging boats, zooming at top speed for no clear reason, and dominating a good game of tug-of-war. If there’s a toy involved, Kraken is all in. Despite his mighty name, Kraken has excellent manners. He knows sit and takes treats gently. When playtime is over, he’s happy to show off his good boy skills and soak up attention. If you’re looking for a fun, active sidekick, Kraken is ready to zoomie right into your home.

Lucas County Canine Care & Control's Adoption Policy

We have a wide variety of dogs available for adoption, ranging in size, age, temperament, and appearance. Each dog has a unique personality and quarks that make them truly one of a kind! Each adoptable dog has had a full behavior assessment, physical exam, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, heart-worm testing (and preventative), and treatment for internal and external parasites. Each dog will also leave the building with a current Lucas County dog license. This is all included in the normal adoption fee of $125. If you are interested in visiting with a particular dog, we require that you spend some time visiting the animal to ensure it will be a compatible match.
