KOVU's Story

Kovu (A134189) is an 1-year-and-10-months AK Husky x Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighed nearly 108.6lbs at intake! 12/22/25 Kovu was surrendered to the shelter and is looking for his new place to call home! He is a big lovebug! Kovu was said to be housebroken and to be kennel trained (however, he has been spending more time out of his kennel). Kovu was also said to ride well in a car! He is a young boy who would benefit from attending a basic obedience class to continue working on his manners. He was also known to get into the trash and dig if left unsupervised. Kovu also LOVES to chew on things – whether it be his toys or the kids (something to keep in mind). He has no known experience with other dogs or cats but was said to do well around goats. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions to set him up for success. If you are interested in meeting this sweet boy, please let us know! 04/13/24 This handsome pair of brothers are Sam and Dean! These boys came to the shelter because their previous owner could not rehome them on their own. These boys were said to be working on their potty training and may have some of the groundwork already laid. They have not been exposed to very much and can be a little timid at first but they warm up quick. Please remember that puppies take a lot of work, and these boys are going to be big dogs! Their mom was said to be a husky/karelian bear dog mix, and their dad was a caucasian shepherd! If you are interested in meeting one of this boys and are ready to put in the work to make them the best dog ever, please give the shelter a call!
