Kory Leroy's Story

Meet Kory!

From a scary start to a bright future! Kory was found as a stray and ended up at the Imperial County Shelter, where he was terrified and at high risk of euthanasia. He just needed a safe place to land-and now that he's in a foster home, his fun, sweet personality is truly shining!

Kory is estimated to be a little over a year old and weighs under 20 lbs-the perfect "pocket-sized" companion.

The Highlights:
- Dog & Human Approved: Kory gets along great with everyone! He loves strangers, adults, and kids alike. He's currently playing super well with his resident foster dog and would thrive in a home with another playful pup to keep him company.
- House Manners: He knows how to use the doggy door and already has "sit" down!
- Crate & Closeness: He does fine in his crate, but he'd much rather be snoozing close by his fellow furry friends. Still working on learning his independence away from his humans.
- Toy Enthusiast: Soft toys, hard toys-you name it, Kory loves them all!
Adventure Buddy: He's doing great on car rides and has handled outings like a champ. He can be a little cautious in new places, but he stays cool, calm, and collected.

Ideal Home
Kory would do best with a playful canine brother or sister to romp around with. Because he has a bit of a natural prey drive, he needs a home without small indoor critters like bunnies, hamsters, or guinea pigs.

Kory has overcome so much and is so ready to find his forever family.
