Kore's Story

Meet Kore — your future best friend with a little bit of mystery and a whole lot of personality 🖤 Kore is a 30lb Shepherd mix we took in from Santa Cruz County Animal Care & Control. A fear baby, who dodged 3 elists for lack of space, arrived in foster care and blossomed around his foster siblings.

Kore is the kind of pup who doesn’t give his heart away right away — but once you earn it, you’ve got something truly special. He’s still learning that people can be pretty great, and with a little patience (and a lot of love), he blossoms into the sweetest, most loyal companion.

He thrives with other dogs, especially confident ones who can show him the ropes and help him feel safe. Bonus points if they’re BIG — Kore lives for a good tug-of-war match and will happily bring the chaos (the fun kind, of course 😄). Cats are still a bit of a mystery, but we have a strong feeling he’d see them as potential playmates.

He’s mostly potty trained, though he can get a little anxious and have occasional accidents while he’s adjusting. Thankfully, he’s got a built-in reset button—his crate is his safe space, and he genuinely loves retreating there when he needs a break.

Kore is quirky, playful, a little shy, and completely unforgettable. If you’re looking for a dog who will grow with you, trust you deeply, and keep life interesting, Kore just might be your guy.

His adoption fee will have mandatory, sponsored puppy classes with our trainers at The Complete Canine.

Adoption fee: $250
Application: www.hopeofdeliverance.org
