Kora's Story

Kora is a special gal, who came to us in pretty bad shape. She had multiple breaks in her hips and pelvis, suggesting she may have been hit by a car. She's had some time to heal and did not need surgery for this. The vets think she will do just fine without any sort of special treatment moving forward, but may have increased arthritis later in life.

Despite her injuries, she quickly warmed up to a few staff members, then a few more, then everyone, including volunteers! Kora is a spunky girl with a lot of personality. She doesn't let the fact that she's had a healing broken pelvis slow her down. She loves walks and playing in the yard- with people or alone. She's just fine entertaining herself, throwing stuffies around and catching them mid-flight. She even seems to be ok with our resident office cat (though she does want to chase the feral cats outside the shelter).

An absolute cuddle monster, Kora initially showed a bit of guarding with the people she liked most. She has done amazing meeting other dogs now that she's in a foster home, and seems to like boy dogs best.

Kora is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. She is about 1.5 years old and around 45 pounds.
