Kona came to us in a neglect situation with several other dogs and 10 puppies. She was used as a puppy factory, and spent her days in a disgusting poop filled basement. Kona is a very sweet girl, but would greatly benefit from some training because she is so big. <br/><br/>Kona is about 6 years old. She is a little nervous and skittish in new environments, but once she is adjusted she is a sweetheart. She is extremely food motivated, and loves to give kisses once she settles down. She wasn't properly socialized in her younger years, but has been such a sweet girl with us. Due to her size and lack of manners, she would probably do best in a home with no small children. Kona needs an adopter that is committed to training her, and that is consistent and patient while she learns. We are looking for an adopter that has experience with the breed.<br/><br/>Kona is pretty dominant with other dogs, so she would probably do best as the only dog in the home.
