Meet Koko - A Sweet, Resilient Tripod Puppy Looking for Her Forever Home! Koko is a joyful, playful puppy with an incredibly gentle soul. Despite a tough start in life, she's blossomed into a loving, smart, and resilient dog ready to become part of a family. About Koko: * Age: ~9 months old * Breed: German Shepherd (Tripod) * Spayed, vaccinated, and house trained * Healthy, active, and runs and plays like any other pup Personality: Koko is playful, curious, and loves life! She enjoys chew toys, squeaky toys, tug-of-war, and romping with other dogs. Food-motivated and eager to learn, she's very responsive to training and thrives on positive reinforcement. A People-Loving Companion: One of Koko's most special traits is how people-oriented she is. She follows her humans from room to room, loves to "check in," and is emotionally intuitive. She wants to be involved in daily life and form a strong bond with her family. Great with Others: Koko does wonderfully with other dogs and has been sweet with everyone she's met. She is good with older children and is likely to do well with younger kids under normal supervision. She's curious about cats and is learning polite boundaries. Her Story: Koko was hit by a car as a very young pup, which led to a fractured pelvis and severe leg injuries. After surgery, rehabilitation, and lots of love, she's now fully healed and thriving as a confident tripod. Okandogs's Adoption Policy

Our screening process is designed to ensure a good home for every dog. References are checked. If we have an application ahead of time and are able to pre-check the references, the dog may be able to go home at the end of the adoption day’s “meet and greets” with the potential adopter if the full process has been completed. It is REQUIRED that ALL people and dogs with whom the adoptable dog will reside do a meet and greet. The meet and greet is for the dog’s benefit as well as that of the family. We need to see that the dog is comfortable with and appropriate for all individuals in the family for the best possible outcome. Factors such as hours alone, methods of confinement, experience and needs of the particular dog - exercise, medical, and behavioral – are all considered for placement. We will go over all information in the dog’s adoption packet when the contract is signed.
