Koji's Story

DNA TEST CAME BACK 100% Akita. He’s a small male.
We saved Koji from the Memphis shelter. The had killed 20 the day before and he was on the list for the next day.
This dog is amazing. Koji is quiet and calm, very chilled out in the house , even outside, sometimes he plays with a ball and other times sunbathes until it gets too hot. Koji is friendly, but his breeds make him not really stand offish, but he just needs his space and time to warm up to you. I just took it slow and let him trust at his own paste and he stole my heart pretty quickly. Koji would do best with a fenced yard, obviously he’s gonna love the cooler weather and need AC in the summer . He’s not shown any aggression with my dogs except over food, but I also haven’t put him with my pack just loose. He’s all around my pack but inside a kennel in the kitchen. 😝 I’m going to say would be best as an only dog or paired with a female dog who isn’t all up in his business, at least initially. Koji rides great and he is not bad at all on leash, I used a control leash similar to the Weiss walkie and he did great. He enjoys walks. No young children , just to be on the safe side, and prefer someone with breed experience .
Koji is incredible and I want to set him up to flourish.
