KODIAK...Couch Potato's Story

DOB 10/15/25. The breed is unusual...we think he is a "white shepherd" mix. As a small puppy he looked like a little Polar Bear. He is starting to get some cream/reddish coloring to his feet. He currently has 1 ear up and 1 ear trying to come up. This will happen slowly as the cartilage strengthens. He will be a great family dog. He would also be good for an active person/couple that wants to hike, boat, swim.

FOSTER COMMENTS: "Both these two sibling puppies are calm natured, love cuddles and are silky soft. Neither care much about cats, Chinook avoids them and Kodiak is curious but he’s easily distracted when he is told to “leave it.” They are both learning “sit” and working on potty training. Chinook looks a little cattle dog with the freckles on her feet but does not have the Heeler personality. She is the opposite of a Heeler. Chinook & Kodiak are fine with other dogs and neither is much of a barker. Kodiak will bark when he is unsure about something that is a little scary. Chinook has rarely barked except when she is playing with her brother. Both sleep in a crate through the night and do great and have been crated for breaks during the day. They are not high energy…more like couch potatoes. Their favorite food for taking pills is cheese and turkey and they LOVE Fresh pet!"

ADOPTION FEES:
The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted… spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us you can ask us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com

He and his sister did not come into rescue super young. They are great with other dogs and cats but shy with new people. In time for sure they will do well, optimally with another well socialized dog. Hence, we have lowered their adoption fee as they do need time/socialization with humans to come out of their shell.

You can also go to our Facebook page...
https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/
and LIKE us to help us out.

After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying.
