KODIAK is a fun, sweet, loving mixed breed male. The breed is unusual...we think he is a "white shepherd" mix. As a small puppy he looked like a little Polar Bear. He is starting to get some cream/reddish coloring to his feet. He currently has 1 ear up and 1 ear trying to come up. This will happen slowly as the cartilage strengthens. He will be a great family dog. He would also be good for an active person/couple that wants to hike, boat, swim. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. Shayne's Rescue's Adoption Policy

Please understand we spend all of our available resources and time saving dogs from death. We are all volunteers. Please fill out an application if you have an interest as then we can approve you to adopt any pup/dogs from us. There is no point in sending in an inquiry w/o an application, as we cannot consider someone or have them meet a dog until we have approved your application. You can ask questions in the application. We think we are most reasonable to adopt from, all we ask is you will provide a loving and supportive home as a pet guardian for the dogs entire life. If something major unforeseen occurs you will always return the dog to us, never to a shelter or anyone else. If the dog is ever to go anywhere but back to us, we do need to approve that person/family beforehand.

Our Mission

We are foster based so meets can happen 7 days/week since we do not have 'office hours'. It is up to the foster and adopter to make a mutually agreeable time. No adoption events at this time.
