KODA - smart, calm & sweet's Story
Meet KODA!

Koda is approximately 5 months old and 27 lbs as of early October, and is a Shepherd/Husky mix. We are sure she is a Husky mix because her mom, Alaska, is a Husky mix (and looks very Husky like with signature blue eyes and coloring!). The foster points out that she really doesn't have any signature Husky qualities like super duper high energy which would be great for someone who likes the look but wants a dog on the calmer side.

Koda's rescuer and foster said she is just the sweetest puppy! She describes her as playful. cuddly, smart and happy! Koda is a puppy who has a typical happy-go-lucky puppy personality - just what you'd expect from a puppy of her age. Compared to her sibling, Nova, she's the calm one.

She is currently being fostered with several other dogs and is great with them all! She enjoys running around in the yard with her sister and her mom as well as another 75lb resident dog in the home (see pictured). She would be good with another dog in the home as a playmate but would be absolutely fine solo too as she loves humans.

Koda also has been with cats inside and is relaxed around them. She won't chase them.

Koda is being fostered in a home with both men and women and has been great with everyone! She hasn't been exposed to children in our care but we have no doubt she'd be great with kids.

Her foster has been working on leash training and she's doing very well.

She is housetrained! She has not had any accidents in the home!

Her foster points out that she is very smart and catches on to things quickly.

She sleeps well all night and is fine with being crated if need be.

HER STORY: Her rescuer, a well-known Puerto Rican animal advocate who runs a radio show and podcast about animal welfare and adoption, found her and her mom and sister wandering on a busy road where they were at risk of being hit by a car. They all had collars on and so they were clearly owned by someone and sadly abandoned. She picked them up (they willingly got in her car!) and she's had them ever since! They integrated quickly and she loves them all!

Koda is spayed, vaccinated, fecal negative and is ready to find her forever home!

*Anyone interested in her can have a virtual call with the rescuer/foster as well!*

**PLEASE NOTE: Koda is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to her forever home once adopted! Please note that we can easily ship in cargo and deliver her to areas along the east coast starting in Miami all the way up to Virginia Beach, VA. We have done shipments thousands (not an exaggeration) of times! Any shipping questions, please ask!***

Please feel free to email us with any questions about her! We are a small all-volunteer rescue and we see every email that comes through, so your inquiry will not get lost! See below for application info.

APPLY TO ADOPT HERE:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FDZ/Dog

For more information on our organization, please visit: https://www.flydogzpr.org/

Instagram: @flydogz_pr AND @flydogzpr_adopt

Any questions, please do not hesitate to email: flydogzpradoptions@gmail.com
________________________________________________________________________________
We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
