KODA's Story

Koda is a gorgeous guy who is having a hard time at the shelter. In a previous home, he was amazing with kids big and small, but wasn't getting along with one of the dogs in the home. He did live successfully with multiple other dogs in the same household though, and may be open to the right doggie sibling with gradual intros! Koda's stress levels are rising in the shelter, resulting in behaviors such as jumping and attempting to fight with other dogs in their kennels. These behaviors make it more difficult for our staff & volunteers to take Koda out for walks and adventures... which only makes his stress worse! We would love a foster, adopter, or rescue for Koda to help him decompress. Fosters, please apply at vcas.us/foster and email vcar.foster@ventura.org to let us know you are interested specifically in Koda. Rescue groups can reach out to vcar.rescue@ventura.org. Adopters, please come visit at the shelter. @vcanimalservices Koda is looking for an adopter, or new foster home before the end of March! He’s a 2 year old Malinois/GSD with a great ball drive, but who is polite and gentle enough to play with a four year old. ?? please find him on the shelter’s foster page (vcas.us/all-foster-animals) and reach out for more info! ? original sound - YVA Fandom Page @vcanimalservices Come with me to pick up my first ever foster dog! Koda was struggling in the shelter and losing weight ?? We are hopeful that time in foster will help him decompress and put on some pounds. Here, he lives like a king. ?? Koda has done really well with young kids in his previous home. He’s super cuddly (especially with his emotional support tennis ball) and his amazing on the patio at a local restaurant. Koda is a happy boy in foster but would be even happier in a forever home! Please get in touch if you may interested. (Thank you @kimmyneal ? original sound - Ventura County Animal Services
