Koda's Story

Hi there, I'm Koda! I'm a handsome 7-year-old Cocker Spaniel boy with the most soulful, pensive eyes you've ever seen. At 23 lbs, I'm the perfect size for snuggling right next to you on the couch — not on top of you, just close enough to feel your warmth.

I'll be honest with you — I'm a little shy at first. New people and new situations can feel a little overwhelming for me, so I do best when things are calm and introductions happen slowly. But once I decide you're my person? I am ALL in. I'm a true velcro boy and I love my humans with my whole heart.

I've got some fun quirks too! I love playing fetch indoors, and I can actually follow a computer mouse across the screen — so I make a great little work-from-home companion. I know my basic commands, and I'm perfectly happy chilling in my crate when my humans need to head out. I'd do best in a house (no condos or apartments, please) with patient humans who understand my sensitive soul. I have good house manners but might need a refresher in a new home.

I'm good with calm, respectful dogs and even cats! I think I’d do better when I’m one of a pack as long as my doggy pals give me my personal space though — no rude noses in my face, please. Older kids 13+ who know how to read a dog's cues would be just fine by me too. Oh, and I can be a little picky about my kibble... but add some scrambled eggs or a few fruits and veggies and I am one happy boy!

If you're looking for a gentle, loyal soul who just needs a little patience and a whole lot of love, I might just be your perfect match.

Apply to adopt me through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org
Adoption fee: $300
