Kobi was described as a great dog, His owners went on about what a wonderful dog KOBI is, so affectionate, great with adults, strangers, kids, other dogs and even cats. They spoke of his sterling set of skills, the many commands he knows, how he never guards his stuff, that he’s house and crate trained and loves to go for walks and trekking. They even said that their favorite thing about him is that “He is a great emotional support and will try to ensure everyone in his home is happy.” <br/><br/>However.....They found it in their hearts to dump him at the New York Animal Care Centers because they were moving. This dog lost everything. <br/><br/>At the shelter he was struggling. His behavior changed and he was listed "Rescue Only'. Knows basic commands: sit, stay, lay down, and paw<br/>? A total gentleman when meeting new people and dogs – polite and respectful<br/>? A low-to-medium energy pup who’s the perfect mix of couch potato and outdoor adventurer<br/>He loves:<br/><br/>? Tennis balls, fetch, tug-of-war<br/>? Bathtime (we call it "spa day" – he’s into it!)<br/>? Hikes, car rides, swimming, and running in grassy fields<br/>?? Long naps and cuddles – he’ll happily lounge in bed all day if that’s your vibe<br/>Kobi is also:<br/><br/>? Great with cats (he politely ignores them)<br/>? Good with kids – doesn’t react even when small children are around in public<br/>? Unbothered by loud noises like trucks or motorcycles<br/>???? A fantastic emotional support companion – calm, sensitive, and deeply loving<br/>Things to Note:<br/>Kobi does not do well around yelling or screaming — it causes him stress and anxiety. We believe he may have come from a home with domestic violence, so we’re committed to finding him a peaceful, loving environment.<br/>While he enjoys a fenced yard, he prefers going for walks and will let you know when he needs to go outside with a bark.<br/>He does best with calm or mellow dog companions. He was injured early on in foster care during rough play, and now takes on the role of peacekeeper – stepping in when things get too rowdy. (It’s adorable.)<br/>? Ideal Home for Kobi<br/>Kobi would thrive in a calm, stable home — either with a loving family or a single person. He’s an excellent fit for someone looking for an emotional support dog or a companion with a mellow lifestyle. Sweet, easygoing, and endlessly lovable — he is the total package. If we could keep him forever, we would.
