Hey guys, I'm Kobe! I am a year-old bully/redbone coonhound mix. Unfortunately, my folks had to surrender me due to a change in their living situation. It is obvious that they took great care of me! I came to the shelter handsome, healthy, and already neutered! My Dad shared some pretty cool info about me before leaving that I thought you should know; I am fully housebroken, I know basic commands, and I am even trained to run alongside a bicycle! Is your New Year's Resolution to be more active? Then I am the guy to help you stay on track! We can go hiking, biking, you name it! I only ever really knew my folks, so being here in the shelter is rather scary. I seem closed off in my kennel but get me out and I am a totally different dog! I love walks in the snow; it gives me the zoomies! I am a big wiggle butt and love treats. Please don't let me stay here in the shelter long, I am meant for fun and adventure! Fayette County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Those interested in adoption have the option to visit us in person or to view our animals online. Once the potential finds an animal that interests them, whether after meeting in person or online, they will complete an adoption application. The adoption application is then screened by one of our adoption counselors. If approved, we will coordinate an appointment for adoption (usually same day). If not approved, we will work with the applicant to see if there is anything we can do to assist in getting them approved before turning them away. Adopters will pay a set adoption fee. In return, they will adopt their new furry friend and will go home with medical records, a copy of the adoption contract, an adoption packet, and our contact info should they ever need anything.
