Kobe's Story

Meet Kobe
Basic Information
• Puppy
• Good with cats
• Likes other dogs
• Experienced adopter only
About Kobe
Kobe is a very intelligent, energetic, and affectionate puppy with so much potential in the right hands. He is playful, engaged, and loves interacting with people he knows and trusts. In calm, structured environments, Kobe truly shines—he enjoys routine, learns quickly, and is highly food motivated, making him eager to work and train.
He is also great on walks, showing little to no reactivity toward people or other dogs, which makes outings with him very enjoyable and manageable in the right setting.
Kobe loves enrichment activities, playtime, and regular exercise. He is used to having approximately three walks a day and enjoys staying active and mentally stimulated. At home, he sleeps calmly through the night in his crate and generally follows household routines very well.
With familiar people and in neutral situations, Kobe can be loving, social, and settle nicely. He is also good with cats and enjoys the company of other dogs. Kobe would likely do best in a home with one or more well-balanced dogs who can help model appropriate doggy manners and social skills for him.
Kobe is a puppy who thrives when his world feels predictable, structured, and well-managed.
________________________________________
Kobe’s Ideal Home
Kobe is looking for a very specific home with an experienced adopter who understands behavioral management and is comfortable working with dogs who have resource guarding tendencies.
Kobe has significant resource guarding behaviors involving food, objects, and spaces. This means he can become uncomfortable when he feels something valuable to him may be taken away or interfered with. His guarding behaviors have escalated over time and can include growling, lunging, and biting. Because of this, Kobe needs ongoing management, supervision, and continued behavioral support.
His warning signs can sometimes be subtle, and once escalated, he can be difficult to safely redirect. For this reason, Kobe is not suitable for homes with children or inexperienced dog owners.
Kobe would do best in:
• An adult-only home
• A calm, structured environment
• An experienced adopter only
• A home with continued training, management, and enrichment
• Ideally, another balanced dog to help guide him and reinforce good doggy manners
________________________________________
The Right Match for Kobe
Kobe is a smart, active puppy with many wonderful qualities, but he is not a beginner dog. He needs a home that can appreciate both his affectionate, playful nature and the level of management required to help him succeed safely.
With the right experienced adopter, clear boundaries, consistency, and proper management, Kobe has the potential to thrive in an environment tailored to his needs.
Kobe is looking for a committed, knowledgeable home ready to give him the structure, guidance, and support he needs to succeed.

Rencontre Kobe
Informations de base
• Chiot
• Bon avec les chats
• Aime les autres chiens
• Adoptant expérimenté seulement
________________________________________
