Knox's Story
Many film and TV characters share the name Knox, but let us introduce the 9 year old male Presa Canario Knox! Knox sports beautiful brindle coloring and big soulful brown eyes. Knox’s owners moved to a home that would not accept him and his fur sibling Cornelia and the dogs were abandoned in the backyard of their previous residence. Big Dogs Huge Paws swooped in to pull these dogs to a foster home and now Knox is searching for his forever family. Knox came into rescue very thin with a host of vetting needs which are being taken care of. He is a senior dog who has experience with lots of good things that make him a great guy for you to consider as a forever member of your family including being house and leash trained. Knox has lived with kids, another dog and a cat. He is not interested in digging up your yard or chewing up your TV remote. The Presa Canario breed has a history that goes back to the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries after the conquest of the Canary Islands. More recently, reputable breeders bred strong Presas that were rustic, massive, vigorous, and functional, who had acute watchdog instincts, a strong temperament, were calm yet confident and were extremely territorial with unlimited courage. While protective and devoted to its family, this breed is generally better suited for experienced, active owners who can properly socialize their Presa Canario and provide ample opportunity for outdoor activity. The United States Bullion Depository at Fort Knox, Kentucky stores precious metal bullion reserves for the United States and guarding precious things such as this sweet old guy, Knox, is what we at Big Dogs Huge Paws do for dogs in many tough situations. So, where Fort Knox keeps gold and other valuables safe, would you consider giving Knox a safe new home to live out his senior days? Submit your application for adoption today.
