All potential adopters are required to complete an adoption application and participate in a review process to ensure a good match between the dog and the adopter’s lifestyle. Adoption approvals are based on the best interest of the dog, including factors such as housing stability, ability to provide proper care, and compatibility with other pets or family members. All dogs are adopted with an adoption agreement that outlines the adopter’s responsibilities, including providing routine veterinary care, proper shelter, nutrition, and lifelong commitment. Dogs must be returned to Gators Doggy Grounds Inc. if the adopter can no longer keep them, and may not be rehomed without the rescue’s knowledge or approval. Adoption fees help offset veterinary and care costs and support future rescue efforts.
