Knight (160609) (In a foster home)'s Story
Meet Knight, a brave and loving 1-year-old terrier mix with a heart as strong as his spirit. This sweet boy came to the shelter with a bullet wound on his front leg, but he hasn’t let his past define him—Knight prances forward with resilience, joy, and so much love to give.

Knight is a total people dog who quickly turns into a lap companion if you let him. He adores being close to his humans, whether that means curling up on the couch, leaning into you during car rides, or following you from room to room like your own little shadow. Personal space? Not his thing—and honestly, that’s part of his charm. He loves toys, snacks, and giving plenty of kisses, and he even sleeps with his favorite stuffy.

With a gentle, playful personality and moderate energy level, Knight enjoys walks and playtime but is just as happy relaxing by your side. He already knows how to sit, is potty trained, and does well in a kennel once he’s convinced to go in (a little encouragement goes a long way!). He’s generally quiet, great with kids, and does well with other dogs when off leash—but he’s not a fan of cats.

Knight can be a little sensitive to loud noises, elevators, and things like squirrels or reflections, so he’ll thrive with a patient adopter who can help him build confidence and feel safe. He would do especially well in a calmer home—perhaps with a retired couple or someone who wants a loyal, constant companion.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate pup who will stick by your side through everything, Knight is ready to be your devoted best friend. Come meet him—you might just find your perfect match.

Knight is currently in foster care outside of the shelter.
