Klaus's Story

Hi there! I’m Klaus—a cool, confident, and (if I may say so myself) irresistibly handsome Siberian Husky. At 4 years young and 64 lbs. of charming personality, I’ve been known to turn a few heads wherever I go.

The first thing you’ll notice about me is my luxurious floofy coat—practically impossible to resist running your fingers through. And my golden-brown eyes will proudly meet yours, warm and steady, like a touch of summer on the coldest winter day.

Pffft... I’m not one of those shy boys who hangs back and waits for hoomans to approach him. Nope! When we meet, I’ll confidently swagger right up to you, give you a proper “Hello!” sniff, and then casually stroll off to continue to explore my surroundings.

You’ll also notice that I’m not one of those clingy, “I can’t live without you” type of doggos. I’ve got an independent spirit and I’m perfectly happy doing my own thing. Okay okay..I know what you’re thinking...not to worry! Once we get to know each other (and a few jerky treats thrown into the mix ), I’ll be affectionate when I decide it’s time for some looooove. But hey, let’s not get ahead of ourselves - there’ll be no slobbery kisses involved - just a peck or two.

My foster dad describes me as the perfect balance of independence and affection—the kind of companion who gives you space, but is also always there when you need a little doggo love.

My idea of a good time? Strutting around the yard like I’m walking a runway, hanging out and playing with my foster doggo sister Ivory, or just soaking up the sunshine while leaning casually against my foster dad’s legs. On warm days, you’ll find me happily splashing around in the doggie play pool—it’s one of my absolute favorite things to do!

I absolutely LOVE going on sniffaris! I’m a curious guy and enjoy taking in all the sights and smells. I’m also quite strong (check out these muscles, ladies ) and might pull a bit at first while I get my energy out, but I’m a good listener and would love to learn how to walk nicely on leash with you by my side. I don’t seem to be all that interested in toys. I might pick one up randomly and carry it around for a bit, but meh... I’d much rather be out running around and playing with my doggo friends.

I’m looking for savvy paw-rents with breed experience who’ll give me plenty of outdoor exercise, let me stretch my legs and soak up the sun in our backyard, and then to curl up at their feet after a happy day. I’d also appreciate not having to share our home with cats and other small pets.

I’m already neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated—so I’m all set and ready to go. Now all I’m missing is YOU!

Apply to Foster or Adopt Me at www.Norsled.org

Click here to watch a video of Klaus.
